The cottage is surrounded by wonderful walking country, with an abundance of routes from the doorstep. Varying from relaxing river strolls to Arncliffe to more challenging climbs up Pen-Y-Ghent, part of the Three Peaks Challenge or maybe you’d like to explore the three stepped waterfalls at Aysgarth which has been a tourist attraction for over 200 years.
Queens Arms, Litton
Located just 1 mile away by car or a lovely 20 minute walk the Queens Arms is a 17th Century Country Pub with beer garden. The pub serves home cooked, locally sourced food including award winning pies. It has its own brewery on site (Lamb Brewing Company).
The cottage is situated just 10 miles from the pretty market town of Settle. This traditional Yorkshire town has a unique market square with numerous cafes, pubs, restaurants and takeaways. There is a market every Tuesday and the main supermarket is excellent for stocking up on your essentials.
11 miles to the south is Grassington, famous for its Dickensian Festival at Christmas, and its Summer Arts Festival, supported by famous musicians, actors and poets during the summer months.
Alternatively, a little further afield lies the bustling market town of Skipton, 19 miles away, with its wide, sweeping high street, Norman castle, selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, making it a lovely place to visit.
